The Enrollment Process

Accepting Your Child's Scholarship

Before scholarship funds can be released, there are a few important steps that must be completed to ensure your student is properly enrolled and eligible for funding. These steps help confirm enrollment at an eligible private school and allow Step Up For Students to begin coordinating with your school and the Florida Department of Education.

Below is a quick overview of what to expect as you move through the Enrollment Process. Taking these steps promptly will help avoid delays and keep your student on track to receive scholarship funding.

Step 1

Accept Your Child's Scholarship

Once eligibility has been confirmed, you’ll be asked by email to log back in to your EMA account and either accept or decline your student’s scholarship as listed under “Action Items” on your dashboard.

Step 2

Share Your Student’s Award ID

Located on your EMA Dashboard, your student's Award ID number will need to be shared with your chosen private school. With this ID, the school will begin the enrollment process by submitting the School Enrollment Form through their EMA account.

Step 3

Review and Approve the Enrollment

After the school submits the form, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know it’s time to take action. Simply log into your EMA account to review and approve your student’s enrollment. Be sure to complete this step by these deadlines:
