Understanding the Scholarship Payment Schedule
Scholarship funds are deposited into your student’s EMA account four times per year.
Step Up For Students will confirm that your student is still enrolled at an eligible private school before proposing them for funding to the Florida Department of Education. Once enrollment is verified and the student is submitted for payment, the Department will send scholarship funds according to the quarterly payment schedule below:
2025-26 School Year Enrollment Deadline Dates | Funds Delivered To Step Up |
June 15* | August 1* |
July 15* | September 1* |
September 15 | November 1 |
December 15 | February 1 |
February 15 | April 1 |

A Quick Step Before Funds Arrive in EMA
Each quarter, your student’s school will initiate the scholarship payment process by submitting an invoice for you to approve in your EMA account.
Before funds can be released, a parent or guardian must log in to EMA to review and either approve or deny the payment. To avoid delays in your student’s tuition payment, we recommend completing this step promptly upon receiving an email notification.
