Apply For and Renew Your Child's  Scholarship with EMA

Hi, I’m EMA
your Education Market Assistant.

I’m here to help you manage your child’s education.

Within my portal, you can apply for a scholarship, use your scholarship dollars directly without having to pay out of pocket, explore schools and providers and much more.

It’s nice to finally meet you.

I will help you easily manage your scholarship so your focus can remain on your child.

You know best.  EMA does the rest.

Let’s Get Started

Families are invited to apply for and/or renew their scholarships for the 2023-24 school year. This includes students interested in the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC)/Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) Programs which include the Personalized Education Program (PEP), or the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA). The New Worlds Scholarship Application is not yet available for the 2023-2024 school year. Families can sign up for the interest list to be notified when the application opens.

Renewal Families

Renewing families are invited to create an account with EMA. Each family will have one account where they will manage their students’ scholarships, even if the children benefit from different Step Up programs.

The first step is to transfer your student’s information from your previous Step Up account over to EMA. Please be mindful of the steps outlined below that will help you navigate this critical process. Errors can lead to potential delays.

  1. Sign up for an account in EMA.
  2. Connect all of your renewal students, regardless of scholarship, using the “FIND STUDENTS” tool. Additionally, you can use the “Add a Student” tool to include any new students you would like considered for a scholarship.
  3. To pull the information over to EMA, you’ll be asked to enter the login information for your previous Step Up account. Make sure you enter your email address from your 2022-23 account as your username.
    • Please note: If your student was on the FES-UA waitlist for the 2022-23 school year, please follow the instructions provided for renewals families in the resources below.
  4. On your EMA dashboard, click the “Apply” button for the appropriate program to complete and submit your renewal application. Apply for all students, including new students you are adding. If you are applying for more than one program, repeat the process after submitting the first application.
  5. You’re all set! Please monitor your email for application status updates.
