Governance Policies
Step Up For Students answers to many constituencies, including the general public. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing talented community and business leaders. These directors work to protect the public trust implied by our tax-exempt nonprofit status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and as a state-approved “Scholarship Funding Organization” under Florida Statute 1002.395.

Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing and fiduciary body for Step Up For Students. The board sets policy, develops and approves strategic plans and the related allocation of resources, and is responsible for the organization’s performance.
