Why does my student's matrix score show as "Pending" in EMA?

For students applying for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) program, it is normal for the matrix score in EMA to display as Pending, even after a student has been approved for a scholarship.

The matrix score information is provided by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and it may take additional time to be received and displayed in EMA.

The important thing to know is that a Pending matrix score in EMA is routine for many FES-UA students and does not impact the scholarship funding amount issued based on FLDOE funding determinations.

If your student's matrix score remains Pending, no action is required on your part unless Step Up For Students contacts you for additional information.
