Tampa, Fla.– Olympus Insurance has contributed $3,140,000 to the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program, helping more than 380 Florida students access the education option that is best for them to succeed. Operating in the Florida Property Insurance Market since 2007, Olympus Insurance provides comprehensive insurance solutions for Florida homes throughout the state.

Since 2021, Olympus Insurance has funded more than 1,280 scholarships through contributions totaling more than $10.2 million to Step Up For Students, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps manage the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. The program, which is funded by tax-credited contributions from corporations, allows families to use the scholarship for private school tuition and fees, instructional materials, curriculum, and other approved educational expenses. Florida students who are not enrolled full time in a private or public school can access the Personalized Education Program (PEP), which provides an education savings account (ESA) to fund the needs of those students.

“At Olympus, we are committed to our policyholders and supporting local communities,” advised CEO Tim Stroble. “We are proud to partner with Step Up For Students and assist Florida students with access to the education option that is best for them.”

Olympus Insurance celebrated their support of the scholarship program with a visit to Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, where most students currently utilize  a scholarship through Step Up For Students. Olympus Insurance representatives had the chance to meet with Step Up scholarship recipients and hear from Bishop Kenny High School staff about the various programs available at the school.
