Our vision is that every child in the state of Florida should have an equal opportunity to a quality education. We believe that by giving parents a choice in their children’s education, we are giving children a chance to achieve and the hope for a bright future.
It is our goal to ensure economically disadvantaged families have equal opportunity to the K-12 learning options they need to effectively educate their children. To accomplish this, we work to promote, implement and enhance K-12 educational choice. To make a truly strategic investment in education reform for Florida, we collaborate with reform-minded individuals and organizations.
Supporters of Step Up For Students benefit from the unique confidence that their gifts advance parental choice in Florida and in turn make it possible for thousands of children to receive the educational tools for a successful future. Donors can feel secure knowing that their gift is going to a nonprofit that the Chronicle of Philanthropy ranked 212th overall among 400 nonprofits that have raised the most money in private support in 2010. Additionally, Step Up was listed third in terms of growth among the top 10 of the biggest gainers in the last four years. Step Up For Students is supported entirely by voluntary grants and contributions. Contributions at any level are welcome.
Step Up For Students is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) code; contributions are fully tax-deductible up to the amount allowed by law. Our financial records are audited each year, and an audited financial statement is available upon request.
